Der Stahladler is owned by a professional historian and reenactor with a 25 years interest for German WW2 militaria. Our staff includes an historian, collectors, tailors, textile experts and senior reenactors. We take pride in producing and distributing highly researched & superior quality products.

We’ve gathered the original patterns and sewing instructions for over a hundred of historical uniforms including German military, civil, paramilitary and political uniforms from the 1890s up to 1945, which is our field of expertise.

Producing reproduction uniforms using the original source instruction is a complex and expensive process and not all of our uniforms are actually made that way yet, even though we hope to be able to rely on such an exclusive production in the years to come. Most of our products which are not done following period documents are copied from original uniforms. We simply do not believe in copying copies…

Even though we could release a Bavarian postmaster outfit or a railroad employee uniform, we naturally must plan our production according to the demand: producing random “rare” outfits, just for a few isolated customers would represent too big a risk for us at this stage. We are however willing& ready to produce any uniform for which we own the patterns if there is a demand for a quantity of 15 or more. Movie and theatre companies are always welcome to approach us for any specific uniform need.

We can also provide historical consulting for public events, TV documentaries, movie an theatre productions.
